The semester is almost at an end! It’s time to take a break from your busy study schedule. Let me introduce you to the best game—Cornhole! You only need an inclined board that has a hole on one end and some small bags which are filled with dried corn to start a corn hole game. You will try to pitch the bags into the hole or try to get them stay on the board to get points. It sounds pretty easy, right? Well, it’s a partner sport, so now is the time to pick that partner. If you already have one, that's great. If you are looking for a partner to play cornhole, here are several tips for you:
1. Find a friend who has played or is at least interested in playing cornhole. A good partner shares experiences or energy with you in order to enhance your performance.
2. Make sure your partner has good biceps to throw the bags. Cornhole boards should be set up facing each other with a 27-foot gap between each edge.
3. Make sure your partner has good eyes to see the hole. According to tip #2, your partner has to be able to identify the corn hole in order to pitch the corn bags.
4. Make sure your partner is competitive. Cornhole games can be intense because people want to win the award.
Now you’ve found a partner. Next – put that competitive spirit to the test. The 2017 Sports and Events Marketing Class at Columbia College planned a cornhole tournament just for you!
Money raised goes to Pascale’s Pals, a charity that raises money for children and families staying at the Women & Children's Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
