When it came time to decide which charity our cornhole tournament would benefit we decided it would be best to select a charity that had close ties to Columbia College and a cause our class could all rally behind.
Pascale’s Pals was the obvious choice.
Pascale’s Pals was founded by a current employee and alumna of Columbia College. Its mission is to provide happiness to the children and ease the burden of the families at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Columbia. They also aim to support the families of these children at a difficult time.
One of the ways Pascale’s Pals brings happiness to the children at Women’s & Children's is through their patient wish baskets. The first few weeks after a child receives a chronic or life-threatening diagnosis, they receive a basket prepared by Pascale’s Pals. The baskets are personalized for every individual child and the gifts in the basket range from puzzles to iPads and laptops. It all depends on the needs of the child.
The best way to make a game cornhole more enjoyable was to make certain the event benefits an organization doing incredible work: Pascale’s Pals.
